Description:
Winchester Model 1886 .45-90 Deluxe Sporting Rifle With standard 26 inch factory Octagon Barrel. This rifle was ordered with a Single Set Trigger all mechanically perfect. The serial number of this early "First Model" is 996X placing date of manufacture in 1887, a second year production rifle. The overall condition is very good and untouched. Most of the finish on the barrel and magazine has toned to a very nice even patina. The bore is good and shootable with all rifling present. The bore has shine and scattered pitting through out as expected with these early black powder firearms. The receiver is Color Case Hardened with the Case Colors silvered out with patina. The Deluxe Walnut Stock appears to be a factory "hand rubbed oil" stock with gorgeous grain pattern. This First Model 1886 has retained all of it First Model features and is untouched.
