"North-Savage Pattern Model revolving rifle. This ultra-rare rifle is shown and described in the Feb. 2013 issue of Arms Heritage magazine, article titled “North and Savage Longarms". Barrel length 23¾" and overall length is 42". Caliber is .45. Action works perfectly. Pulling the “ring rearward advances the cylinder and cocks the hammer". Metal parts have a nice even patina. Barrel is a two-stage octagon to round. The brass parts all have a very eye appealing untouched mellow patina. Top strap over the cylinder has a silver plate marked “E. Savage/ Midletown Ct./ North patented June 17th 1856. This is a rare piece of evolution of rifles by one of the most innovative makers of early American firearms.
