Description:
***   SOLD   ***   Handsome Parker BH 12 gauge in great condition with a letter from the Parker Gun Collectors Association based on information obtained from the Parker Factory Records. Lots of original case coloring and highly figured 30” Damascus barrels factory chambered for 2-3/4” shotshells with original finish and flat pigeon rib. Beautiful engraving. Nicely finished pistol grip stock with factory metal grip cap and splinter forearm. Double triggers and trouble-free extractors. Weight is 8lb 2oz.   ***   According to the PGCA letter this gun was ordered with a Monte Carlo stock and a flat pigeon rib in 1902 and delivered to its purchaser in January 1903. In 1914 it was returned to the Parker factory and re-stocked with a thick comb in its current configuration. At that time the barrels were re-browned and the other metal parts re-blued.   ***   The 30” Damascus barrels retain their browning and have shiny bores and are topped by a flat pigeon rib. The rib has an ivory front bead and a smaller middle bead. The barrels are factory chambered for 2-3/4” shotshells. The right barrel is bored 0.735 with a constriction of 0.011 for Improved Cylinder choke. The left barrel is bored 0.736 and has a constriction of 0.018 for Modified choke.   ***   The pistol grip stock and splinter forearm are made from nicely figured walnut and the condition of the finish is excellent. The stock has a factory metal grip cap. Stock dimensions are 14-5/8” by 1-3/8” by 2-1/8” making it with its modern dimensions very shootable.   ***   The Parker BH is in wonderful condition mechanically and cosmetically. It is tight on face and has beautiful wood and metal finishes. Great example of the fairly rare BH grade. ***   I am an FFL and will need a copy of your dealer’s FFL. Buyer is responsible for all shipping, insurance and related charges. I give a three-day non-firing inspection.
