Description:
The factory S&W Historian has confirmed this fabulous K-38 shipped on June 29, 1962 to the Buffalo Gun Center in Cheektowga, New York. This extremely sought and and rare Model 14 No-Dash is equipped with a 5” barrel, original bright blue finish and the numbers matching checkered walnut diamond magna grips. This is an identical configuration to the Illinois State Police guns that shipped in the late 1950’s and is likely an overrun from that order.
The gun remains in outstanding all original condition, the high luster blue finish is gorgeous and shows only the slightest handling wear and aging on the frame knuckle. The original numbers matching grips are crisp and every bit as mint as the gun itself. Bottom line a highly desirable and surprisingly rare K-38 variation that will make an excellent investment in any collection; a must own K-frame!
