---- SOLD --- Colt Model 1911, mfg 1912, First Year Production, for the US Military. This original example is serial number 8180. The good news is that it has not been refinished. The photographs show the pistol’s details. There is considerably more blue left on the frame than the slide where little remains. Let the photographs be your guide. Correct parts for this frame include the slide, slide stop, front and rear sights, hammer, firing pin stop, disconnector recess, main spring housing, magazine (early Colt manufacture), and left stock. All frame and slide markings are correct, including lettering styles, serial number, H on the slide at the hammer recess, Walter G. Penfield inspection stamp, and the encircled rampant Colt trade mark. The barrel, marked on top with a combined HP, is bright and shiny as the photographs show. This is a good example of a very early serial number 1911
