Description:
Ithaca Single Barrel Trap No.5E 12 Gauge. Features a 32" barrel, choked full, vented trap rib with white front and mid beads, a 2 3/4" chamber, ejector and single trigger. The receiver is beautifully adorned with No.5 scroll and game scene engravingfeaturing silver inlays of a pheasant and a woodcock, and an engraved American eagleat the bottom of the action. Adding to the beauty of the shotgun are the deluxe grade American walnut stocks with No.5 fleur de lis checkering, Monte Carlo comb, a Morgan adjustable target recoil pad and a brass initial plate, andincluding acheckered beavertail forend with an engraved pull-down release lever. Condition: The barrel to action fithas some play, and the release lever, though just right of center is a bit sloppy to the right, and themetal parts have been reblued. The butt-stock was reworked with an additional piece of wood installedbetween the top and bottom halves, and of course the wood has beenrefinished. The stockadjacent the receiver'stop tanghas a short 1/2 inch crack,and the forend on the left side has a very thin 1-1/2 inch crack either in the finish or the wood,as it is hard to tell.Thecheckering isfairly well worn on the butt-stock and the forend, and there are scratches and dings in both.
