Description:
Serial #D217828, .38 Special, 4" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some barely noticeable freckling within the grooves. This is a good looking, pinned barrel revolver whose metal surfaces retain 80-85% original blue with some mild silvering at the muzzle, a light turn-ring with flaking to freckled plum-brown on the cylinder, and some further finish loss along the topstrap. The color case-hardening is still strong on the hammer and trigger with only some trace gray fading along the edges. A small and unobtrusive import marking is present on the underside of the barrel. The checkered walnut grips with S&W medallions are in fine condition overall, with only a few light handling marks and a little mild flattening of the of the points on either side. The lock-up is still tight, and this is a very nice Model 10 in fine-near excellent condition. FFL
