Listing one of my more modern lever rifles, this Winchester model 88 in the popular 243 caliber . This gal is 62 years young , serial number 68699, Mfg'd in 1958. Second year of production for this caliber. Read where they sold for $139.95 in 1967 and your spare clip would set you back $3.90, suppose it all evens out. Well she's got a 22" barrel with front hood intact , rear sight I believe is original to rifle but has a nice old Armsport 4 power scope set on Weaver mount. Metal is excellent , heel of stock has a little blemish nothing to get excited about when your 62 you can have a few blemishes. Has sling swivels and the early checkering . Nice rifles often wonder why they quit making them I think in 1971 or so. I've owned a good number of 243's in different configurations and believe me they are flat out shooters. I took a bunch of pictures in outside light so you can appreciate the beauty of this sleek little lever gun. I'd send it to your valid C&R or your FFL.
