Description:
The 20 guage barrels are 26 ¾ inches, excellent bright strong bores with a single bead at the muzzle and matted rib. The barrels are bored cylinder. This lovely looking, lightly used, plated box lock ejector gun has metal that is 95% finished. This is straight grip English style stock and a splinter fore-end both nicely checkered. The length to heal is 13 inches. The Length to toe is 13 ¼ inches and the length to pull is 13 inches. The gun weighs 5 lbs. 9 ounces. It comes with some original paperwork from H. Mahillion describing the gun in French. This is#1 of a pair.

The Anson & Deeley boxlock is one of the most successful shotgun actions of all time. Invented in 1875 by Westley Richards, the design has been the basis for millions of shotguns, including the one you see here.
H. Mahillon was a Belgian maker with a shop is Brussels. They “made” a wide range of guns: From bolt rifles to best-quality sidelock pigeon guns. I say “made” because I’m not sure if the company built its own guns or had them made in the trade by other craftsmen. Regardless of who actually did the making, every Mahillon I’ve seen has been very well built.
