SOLD !!!!!!! Sold it too soon. NOw with gold at $2000 per ounce just thengold content is $3900. nice and tight 1885 circa. Box hinged watch Solid 18kt gold. Weighs nearly 5 ounces. Movement weighs 34dwt. Almost 2 ounces. Basically 3 ounces of 18kt gold.
Selling for gold value only. 18kt gold is 65% gold. Gold is at 1750 per ounce. X 3 = $5250x.65 = $3412.50. Selling less than gold value. So I don’t have to scrap it.
Just informed crown weighs 6 grams. And isn’t gold. 28.35 grams to a ounce.
