Description:
Savage model 99EG in 300 Savage.Built in 1950,this rifle has a 24" barrel with a mint bore.The rifle is in excellent condition retaining 98% of the original blue and wood finish.This is an old style rifle with the brass cartrifge counter,lever safety,hand checkered wood,schnabel forend,and steel buttplate.The lever retains 80% of the original case colors.The receiver has been properly drilled and tapped and a Leupold 2x7 vari-x II scope installed but retains the orignal fold down rear sight.The rifle also has had sling swivles added,probably when the scope was installed.This is a very clean rifle with very little use set up and ready to hunt.C&R eligible.
