Description:
Winchester Model of 1876 First Model Open Top .45/75wcf. The serial number of this example is 84 probably the 1st week of production, earliest one I have seen in 45 years of collecting! Factory 28 inch Octagon Barrel. Overall condition is good to very good with the factory finish toned to a pleasant bronze patina. The bore is near perfect with strong rifling and shine from breech to muzzle. The bore will rate an 8.5 on a 1 to 10 scale. This rifle has scattered pin point size pitting on the Receiver, Barrel and Magazine and has been cleaned at one point, done correctly! Serial number is faint, however it is there... Barrel address I am unable to see, might be there just really faint. The brass follower is uncleaned and has a very nice mustard patina. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. Wood to metal fit is perfect with no damage observed mostly the normal hits and small handling marks. Please phone Tommy at (760)-912-3761 or E-Mail all questions and concerns. $35.00 shipping.
