Winchester Model 1873 Sporting Rifle .32-20 24 inch factory octagon Barrel. The serial number of this example is 3035XX placing date of manufacture in 1889. This rifle will letter with the Cody Museum as a Special Order item. The rifle has a Case Hardened receiver, fancy walnut stock and Rocky Mountain front sight with a copper or bronze blade. Overall condition is very good with the rifles finish mostly toned to a nice even patina with no damage or rust to the metal. The bore is good and shootable with all rifling present and scattered light pitting. The Receiver has silvered out with traces of silver in protected areas.
