Description:
Winchester Model of 1876 Sporting Rifle .45-60wcf. with 28 inch Factory Octagon Barrel and Special order Single Set Trigger. The serial number of this example is 625XX placing date of manufacture in 1888. Overall condition is excellent with very close to 98% of the original untouched factory blue remaining. The Barrel and Magazine are better than 97% while the receiver is approx. 95%. The loading gate has retained 95+% of the original "Fire Blue". The brass Follower is untouched with a very nice even mustard patina. The Single Set Trigger is mechanically perfect. The action is Tight, Smooth and Mechanically perfect. Wood to metal fit is perfect with Stock and Forearm retaining 95+% of the original factory varnish. This rifle was well cared for and saw very little use!
