This started out as a STEVENS 110 SERIES k RIFLE serial # 0291784 NOTE THEIR STEVENS MODEL 110 IS THE SAME AS THE SAVAGE 110 EXCEPT IT HAD A CHEAPER WOODEN STOCK THE METAL WORK IS THE SAME stocked by local stock maker Ira Lauer of Dover Pa.in a most fabulous piece of FEATHER CROTCH AMERICAN BLACK WALNUT WITH FIDDLEBACK THROUGH THE FORE END Checkered with an outstanding 22 line per inch ribbon checkering pattern. THIS IS LIKE TAKING A SOW'S EAR AND MAKING A SILK PURSE OUT OF IT PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A SLIGHT DISCOLORATION ON THE BOTTOM METAL. NOT CAUSED BY RUST JUST A LESSER QUALITY BLUING JOB. See photo #`10.
