This native police force consisted of Aboriginal natives with one white officer. The native police were charged with protecting the British Colonial frontier of Australia. This percussion gun features a captured swivel ramrod, brass mounts, walnut stock and sling swivels. The left side of the gun has a saddle ring and bar, and several markings on the barrel, near the breech. The right side of the lock plate is stamped with a crown over ”VR” (Victoria Regina), and “1858 // TOWER”. Caliber: .65 percussion Overall Length: 36.85" Barrel Length: 21" Condition: Iron parts have a medium grey/brown age patina – Brass parts retain a light mustard color age patina – Stock has several small marks – Action is crisp – Bore has some minor pitting.
