Description:
Winchester Model of 1894 Semi-Deluxe pistol grip Sporting Rifle. The serial number of this example is 864XX placing date of manufacture in 1897. Overall condition is very good with this Antique Model 1894 retaining 70% of the original untouched factory finish. The bore is very good with scattered pitting as usual for these early black powder firearms. The rifling is strong with some fouling, should clean up well with a good scrubbing. The bore will rate a 6 on a 1 to 10 sale. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. The Tang Sight is period correct, not often mentioned / recorded in the Museum Letters.
