Description:
Scarce ANTIQUE Commercial Bern M1882 Revolver, rust blued with strawed small parts, hard rubber grips, and correct holster. SN: 6862 Cal. 7.5mm. Standard configuration 1882 with 4.5” barrel and fixed sights. Serial number on left side of barrel is repeated on the left side of the frame and on the cylinder. Last two or three digits are on the ejection rod, cylinder pin, hammer, trigger and loading gate. Many of these components are also marked with the assembly number “10418”. Fitted with black hard rubber grips whose left panel has the encircled Swiss cross. Rotatable lanyard ring at base of frame. Complete with correct commercial holster, strap retained by brass stud, single belt-loop set at angle, purportedly to facilitate carry while riding a bicycle.
Condition: VG+original rust blue with scattered flecks of oxidation and wear as appropriate to a holstered revolver. Comparable condition strawed parts showing no suggestion of enhancement. Excellent grips with no splits or cracks. Generally bright bore with dulling and grooves. Proper indexing upon manual check with slight cylinder wobble on lock-up. A very attractive and relatively scarce M1882, particularly as the gun is an antique and accompanied with correct holster. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
