Description: Made in 1917, this gun made with 28" Titanic barrels on a #1 frame. Gun made with capped pistol grip, splinter forend, double triggers, and skeleton buttplate. The gun was originally shipped to Boston, MA for a client in Presque Isle Maine. The gun has a 14-1/4" LOP over the original skeleton BP. Drops are 1-5/8" at comb and 2-5/8" at heel. The gun has 2-3/4" chambers and weighs 6lbs 8oz today. Bores measure .668(R) with .003 choke (imp. cylinder) and .667(L) with .009 (light mod) in the left. MWT is .020 in the right and .021 in the left. The gun retains about 90% restored stock finishes. There are traces of original case color remaining and some salt discoloration on the frame, though nothing offensive or serious- engraving is clear and crisp and well defined. The barrels retain about 95% restored blue with salt water pin pricks throughout on the outside. Bores are very good and mechanics are fine. This gun would make a very usable and durable field gun.
