Description:
This is a 69 Caliber (16 gauge 2 3/4 inch chamber) sporting rifle with a 37 5/8 inch half round barrel with mostly bright very good straight-rifling. The barrel retains about 85% original thinning blue showing areas toning to gray-brown patina and some tool or vice marks near the breech and showing scattered oxidation staining. The left flat is marked Husqvarna and the top of the breach has the crown/H. The action shows strong silvery case hardened patina with overall light oxidation staining. The checkered hardwood buttstock with a left side cheek piece and smooth forearm remaining in very good condition showing tiny hairline crack at the upper tang and a thin crack at the left edge of the forearm. There are scattered light dings and scuffs on the wood. The buttstock retains strong original finish and most of the checkering is intact. The gun is fitted with sling swivel and sighted with a simple fixed rear sight and a small blade front sight. An interesting commercial rolling block perhaps intended for slug and shot shooting.
