Description:
This is a Remington made 1903 rifle with the barrel dated 4-42 with a very good bore with light oxidation in the groves. The nose cap and magazine floorplate show reapplier blue and the floorplate has areas of light wear and spots of oxidation. The walnut stock is in very good condition and the upper handguard has four light dings marked with a dark stain.The steel buttplate has worn to gunmetal gray with finish remaining in the groves. The stock is marked behind the trigger guard wit a crisp circled P proof mark. Receiver and barrel marks remain crisp and easily legible and the bolt shroud, safety tab, rear sight assembly barrel band are all "R" marked. Overall a nice original Remington made 1903 Rifle.
