Description:
This is a Mauser made P-38 with a 5 inch barrel in 9 MM with a very good to near excellent bore. The metal surfaces of this byf 43 coded pistol are about 95%+ of arsenal quality blue. All of the original markings are crisp and there is a very discreet NHM Co. import mark on the rear bottom of the frame. The groved red-brown phenolic resin grips remain in very high condition showing a tiny crack at the back edge of the left grip panel and a light ding at the toe of the right panel. The slide and frame are matching and the locking block number has been punched out and the barrel number has been re-numbered to match. These parts are Walther made with the Eagle/359 Waffenamts. Although not stamped with a "X" this pistol is likely a Russian capture. One magazine is included. A very fine example of a P-39.
