This is a very nice, all original 1906 DWM American Eagle Luger. The pistol is all matching with about 97-98% blue remaining. There's very little actual bluing loss, mainly on muzzle and sideplate. But there is some oxidation in most areas, most pronounced on the straps. Small parts retain very little of the original straw. Grips show minor handling wear, are mismatched to the gun and there is a small, repaired chip under the safety. The pistol comes with a WWI era military magazine in excellent condition. These pistols went to the US retail market and the manufacturers at DWM realized that nation-based crests increased sales of these Lugers, so that is why you find the American Eagle over the chamber. This is also why you see GERMANY marked on the frame, denoting these were exported for commercial sale. Unfortunately, the bore was not well cared for on this one and has notable pitting throughout with worn rifling.
