Personal Check with hold Description: This is a very nice Sharps S.R.C. converted to 50-70 caliber cartridge. serial #85112, 50-70, 22" three-groove barrel with a fair bore showing scattered pitting and good rifling throughout. The barrel of this carbine has toned to a pleasant mottled gray-brown patina while the action is taking on a mild gray case-hardened patina showing some light pinprick pitting along the right side and generous smoky case-hardened colors scattered about, some protected areas actually quite vibrant. The original markings have softened somewhat but remain mostly legible and the small parts show strong bright fire blue. The smooth walnut stocks remain in very good plus condition showing a thin hairline crack at the forend tip, a small sliver missing near the upper tang and scattered light dings. The stocks retain strong arsenal oil finish and the buttstock retains a strong "H.H.H." sub-inspector stamp at the heel. The original sights and saddle ring are intact, the barrel has been arsenal re-stamped to match the frame and the carbine is equipped with the earlier spring-loaded firing pin which remains intact. The action seems to function well mechanically. A very handsome Sharps cartridge carbine. Buyer pays $45.00 shipping to lower 48 states. I accept USPS Money Orders or Bank Cashier's Check. Will accept Personal Check, with shipping hold. 3% Credit Card Fee. Three day, non-firing, non-disassembly, inspection period. If returned, for any reason, full refund, less shipping.
