Description:
I have for sale a beautiful Simson-Suhl over and under in 12 gauge.  This gun has some of the nicest engraving I've come across.  I've tried to capture the detail in my pictures but it is so elaborate that I had a very difficult time doing justice to the work.  This gun has 12 gauge barrels which are 28 1/4" in original length, never altered.  Bores measure .728 on the bottom barrel with .010 inches of constriction, and .729 on the top barrel with .012 inches of constriction, giving you improved cylinder in both barrels.  Chambers are as marked at 2 3/4 inches.  Stock dimensions are 1 1/2 X 2 9/16 X 14 7/8 over a one inch recoil pad.  Cast of the stock is neutral.  The three piece forend is slender and fits the hand nicely.  Both the butt and forend have nicely done skip line checkering pattern.  Gun has double triggers and selective ejectors which are well timed.  The game scene engraving depicts splendid game scenes in deep relief on the sideplates with English setters and Quail on the left side and and eagle and ducks on the right.  Please look carefully at the attached pictures and take in the artistic workmanship of this engraving.  This gun is extremely tight and on face and the cross bolt lockup insures this gun will continue to please its new owner for many years to come.  Factory sling swivels are on the butt and barrel.  Price of the gun is $7900 plus $75 shipping to your FFL.  I cannot imagine what it would cost to reproduce this gun today.  As always there is a three day non-firing inspection period with the buyer paying shipping charges if returned.
