Dective Special , 38 special Ser# 422305 Factory original Finish about 95%. Correct numbered grips. minty bore and cylinder. In the Fitz configuration. Checkered and bobbed hammer, cutaway trigger guard,VP in the crane area. Factory letter does not say the factory did this conversion. But Abercrombie and Fitch did have a full gun smithing and gun customizing shop back then as I was told. They might have done this Fitz conversion.I have no Idea who converted this piece. I have fired it a few times. It is very accurate and extremely smooth. The action is tight and has a smooth and light double action pull single action is light and positive By the looks of the cylinder and breach face it doesnt appear to have been shot very much..The bottom of the but is embosted LINC I have no idea what it means,nor what the letters under the grips mean.Of all the Fitzes i've owned this is by fare the nicest and most well done of all. I had 2 Factory Fitzs With letters and sold them for between 7 and 8 thousand dollars a few years ago. I'm asking roughly one half for this fine example . This piece was certainly done by a master gunsmith. you will love this nice revolver. If you like this fitz and would like to own it I'll entertain any offer.
