Description:
45-70 rifle with a 32 5/8 inch barrel with a bright bore. The metal retains about 90% thinning reapplied blue which is toning to a plum patina on the 1873 dated case-hardened breechblock. Minor silvering on the heel of the US marked buttplate and a few handling marks overall.The lockplate is properly marked. The barrel displays a very crisp "V/P (eagle head) P" firing proof. The stock rate very good and has been lightly cleaned and has has a light finish applied. The stock has a 1882 cartouche and the circle P firing proof. It is equiped with the proper 1879 rear sight.
