Payment Types Accepted: Certified check or USPS Money Order Description: For your consideration is a very good condition M1916 Holster for the M1911-M1911A1 made by Rock Island Arsenal. This is a first year of production holster & it is in remarkably good condition. The leather is completely intact with no tears or holes. It has darkened with age from use & treatment but has been well-cared for & is still soft & pliable. The does exhibit surface cracking & wrinkling; which is common for leather that is 100+ years old. The cracks are surface only & do not go all the way through the leather. This is almost entirely on the flap of the holster which would have the most use. The interior leather is in like condition & shows signs of use but is in remarkably good condition. The stitching on the holster is 100% intact. No issues with loose, fraying or rotted thread. The brass is also in very good condition with all rivets intact & minimal oxidation. Overall a very good condition holster that has been well-preserved despite clear field use. WWI holsters are somewhat uncommon as they were obviously issued for WWI, used in the inter-war period & then re-issued for use in WWII & some possibly in Korea. This holster would make a great addition & would be appropriate for a WWI or WWII collection or impression. Priced according to the signs of feild use but moderately priced when compared to other WWI or WWII holsters which are now generally in the $200+ range or they are very well used & abused. Preferred method of payment is PayPal gift but I will also accept USPS money orders or personal checks (those will require a 5-day period to clear). Shipping is $10 USPS First Class. Thanks for looking. SOLD |
