I bought this relic about 50 years ago from an Army Navy surplus (junk) stand off Hwy 6 Just N or Galveston.
I have moved it 4 times and it gets heavier every time. I estimate it to weigh 400-500 lbs.
The old salt I bought it from was using it as part of a barrier to keep cars from driving into his shop.
He said he got it from a fisherman friend back 50+ years ago who pulled it out of Galveston bay.
It obvously has been in saltwater for a long time.
