Description:
Winchester Model of 1894 Sporting Rifle "First Model" with 10 O'Clock Screw, .38-55. The serial number of this example is 456 placing date of manufacture in 1894. It appears this rifle was re blued sometime in its life. Who ever did the refinish did it right! Little Lemon Juice will tone it down, very good metal underneath. The bore is dark, however the rifling is present. Wood to metal fit is perfect with no damage observed. This Rifle will make a great winter project.
