This is a SUPER RARE Colt General Officer's Pistol M1969 Prototype 9mm (1 of 16 EVER PRODUCED!) MANUFACTURED in 1971! Rock Island Arsenal tested numerous pistols in the early phases of developing the M15 including the Smith and Wesson Model 39 and Walther P.38. Colt's offering was a total of 16, Colt General Officer's Pistols M1969-Cal. 9mm that were sent to Rock Island, Colt Sales Department (gifts for Military decision makers) and the Military Marketing Department. Features include a 4" barrel, 9mm caliber, walnut grips, all steel construction, Colt High Polish Blued slide, bobbed hammer, flat main spring housing and lanyard. The gun comes with a COLT FACTORY LETTER, INFORMATION BOOKLET, THREE MAGAZINES and a WALNUT CASE. To say they are the RAREST General Officer's Pistol would be an understatement as they are FACTORY PROTOTYPES. Virtually IMPOSSIBLE to obtain, this would be the CROWN JEWEL IN ANY U.S. OFFICER'S PISTOL COLLECTION!
