Description:
1955 Agent that was made for John H. McNally, V.P. of Colt during the late 40's, early 50's. When asking for a custom agent to be built they found that the alloy aluminum frame would not be appropriate for engraving, hence the placing of the Agent barrel on a detective frame. ( Colt archives searched vigerously for the history of this beautiful revolver and came up empty, No colt letter can be obtained)
John McNally was an engeneer by trade and held several patents for Colt including the Hammer Shroud and Trigger Shoe.
