This is as close to new as you will find. It is a Colt nickel Police Positive Special chambered in .38 Special. It has the very desirable 5” barrel length and comes with the original Colt factory box and paperwork that numbers to the gun. The original nickel finish is stunning as are the original black fleur-de-lis hard rubber grips. The gun remains in unfired condition and dates to 1923. This gun has been part of my collection for over 40 years. There is an interesting note that the original owner wrote inside the top lid 97 years ago. He indicates the date of purchase, cost, and serial number. He also talks about the .38 Special being the best cartridge for power and accuracy. A nice piece of history with this wonderful gun. He obviously didn't shoot the gun by looking at its condition. A great addition to the best collections. I offer a three day non-firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped via FedEx Air with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
