Description:
Here is a rare, hard to get, new old stock Colt Single Action Army in the coveted 38-40 chambering. Model P3870. It is new in the box, never fired, never turned, packaged as the day it left the Colt factory. What a beauty!! According to the official Colt serial number search this was made in 2008. It comes still in the factory plastic baggie with all the peripheral literature accompanying any new Colt SAA. It has 7-1/2 inch barrel, high polished blue metal, and gorgeous case color frame. Fitted with black checkered eagle grips. No sign at all this revolver has ever even been turned. The loading gate fits perfectly. I believe this model has the coveted removable cylinder bushing. It is in the original Colt blue box and also comes with the original white shipping sleeve with the end label numbered to the revolver. Colt is no longer making the 38-40 in the Colt SAA which is a shame because this cartridge.with its .40 caliber 180 grain bullet has the same ballistics as a 40 S&W with its 180 grain bullet.
