Manufactured by Providence Tool Co in providence Rhode Island USA. S/N 404 matching on barrel, frame, and forend. The all original high condition Peabody-Martini action features very strong original finishes on the half octagon heavy weight 45-70 cal barrel, case color on the receiver which also features simple scraoll and border engraving. The wood finish appears original.The forend has a There is an area of pitting on the right side of the barrel near the muzzle as shown. Very good bore.Original pewter forend tip. Original butt plate. Globe hooded combination front sight. Rear ladder sight with no markings and has light engraving on the barrel at the front and back as shown. Cocking indicator, manual safety. Left side of the frame is marked "Kill Deer" right side of the frame carries Peabody and Martini pat's. Very rare in any condition and exceedingly uncommon is this high original condition. The barrel carries a smaller sized marking of 92 over the serial number. Antique. No Reserve Someone pointed out that the rear sight should be a sliding disc. They are available from Monata Vintage Arms we will credit thethe cost of a replacement sight
