Smith & Wesson Safety Hammerless 4th Model in 38 S&W caliber, S/N 135384, nickel finish.
Metal finish is excellent, original black factory grips in good condition other than a chip out on the left grip panel on the bottom and on the top corner, the bore is good for its age with some scattered pitting throughout the bore and strong, sharp rifling.
There is a star after the serial number that denotes a factory refinish with an 8.49 date code for the refinish under the left grip panel. You hardly ever see these guns with a finish like this one! This gun was not used at all after the refinish was completed.
