Description:
Attributed to Red Dog (later Chief Red Dog) by Wendell Grangaard with the included documentation and Biography of Red Dog and this rifle. This Remington rolling block remains in average condition for the period and environment. Mr. Grangaards study makes numerous identifications in the form of tacks and Togia markings to Chief Red Dog and he provides an interesting biography of him. The gun itself shows some aftermarket add ons in the form of crossed sabers, US tab and 7th Cav markings that we do not believe are original or correct. Lineage to Red Dog are the work and opinion of Mr Grangaard only. The rifle is complete, dirty bore with good rifling, original wood and sights. and would be an interesting addition to any collection. The photos show the overall condition of the rifle. Antique
