Description:
An original Williamson, single shot, deringer with an auxiliary percussion insert. These were produced on a patent by David Williamson and produced by Moore and National, both of New York. The left side of the barrel is stamped “WILLIAMSON’S PATENT OCT. 2, 1866 NEW YORK” with an arrow design on the top of the barrel. The brass frame and triggerguard are nicely engraved with some checkering on the walnut grips.

Condition: Iron is a medium grey age patina with very minor scattered pitting – Brass is a pleasing mustard color age patina – Stock has not been sanded or refinished and remains good with minor nicks to the smooth areas and two deep impressions to one side of the checkering, also has a small crack on each side of the lower screw of the tang – Action works fine with a weak mainspring – Insert has a dark age patina – Bore is good
