Description:
An authentic Japanese Kozuko or Kadzuka Knife. The handle is inlaid, high relief, mixed metal of leaves and flowers with a decorated heart shaped hole at the end. The delicate inlays are done with copper, silver & gold. We believe this is from the Edo period (1603 – 1868). Have been told the inscription on the blade would be a poem, but we do not know what it says.

Overall Length: 8"
Exposed Blade Length: 4.25"

Condition: Blade is a grey iron color with clear character markings – Iron handle has a very dark age patina with some pitting – All inlays are intact – Blade slides out of the handle easily
