Description:
This Carbine's barrel date is 7-44. The serial number is 5384266. This gun has the standard Inland 18 inch barrel dated 7-44. The bore is like new with sharp lands. The sights are original for this time frame. All of the parts are correct for the serial number range and time frame. These parts and carbine itself have the correct as used military finish for the time frame of this gun. The stock and forend are correctly marked for Inland. The original wood finish is intact. There is also stamped OG by the left wrist area. This stamp is from Ogden Arsenal. This is most likley where the type 3 barrel band and bayonet attachment was installed. The rest of the gun shows no sign of any other alterations. The type 3 barrel band is marked KI for Inland. The rear sight is marked PI also for Inland. The handguard has the 4 rivit late style handguard. The bolt is the late style blued round bolt. This carbine also has the World War Two issued sling and oiler. The inside of the sling has the soldier's name printed. The magazine is also coded for Inland. Could be fun looking that person up! This is a fine original condition M1 carbine! This gun would rate a 95% overall condition. This gun is certainly a collector grade carbine that will appeal to the collector! Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
