There are some guns we come across here at KTC that are VERY difficult to let go.....this, my friends, is one of them. She's a Stevens 311H in .410 Gauge....a gun originally made as a work horse to be placed in the gun vault of every home in America....and indeed they were. There were no frills on this gun, she originally came to us in EXCELLENT metal condition, maintaining perfect bluing and full original case coloring on the receiver. The stock was not in bad shape, but it maintained that ugly, brown, terrible paint job of a stain they used decades ago....we think 1970's... trying to hide birch-wood in a walnut painted dress....which in our opinion made her look cheap. We had all that paint garbage gently stripped reveling the gorgeous blonde birch-wood grains underneath. All other components of this shotgun are factory original and in perfect working condition.....she's just a heck-of-a lot better looking! .410's are pricey, and the USA stopped making them a long time ago due to mill-cost. Take a crack at this one, for the price, you're getting a BEAUTIFUL SXS .410 in perfect condition, ready for the field and to pass down to future generations.
