Colt 1847 Civilian Walker .44 Caliber Revolver. Made in 1847. .44 Caliber with a 9” barrel. Metal has a dark gray patina with scattered pitting. This is a rare Civilian model. This gun has some very well done restoration. When found, only the barrel, cylinder and frame were present. The trigger guard, back strap and grips were added later. The barrel has the serial number portion cut and put back on the barrel. This gun falls just outside of the range of Civilian Walkers with is serial number 1000-1100. This is not the only gun known outside of the publish range. Very neat and affordable Colt Walker.
