Description:
There are a lot of pre-64 model 70's out there but not too often do you see the Model 70 Target Model which was made just for that. It was a target shooting rifle and also a excellent varmint gun. This has the 26 inch heavy target barrel chambered in 220 Swift with a near excellent bore. 250k serial range. Nice overall condition. Nearly all metal finish remains. Some light wear in spots. Along with the heavy weight barrel, the Target version of the Model 70 came with the wide Beaver Tail style stock and accessories rail having holes for different accessories. The stock on a Target was thicker and heavier throughout. This stock is in good overall condition. Also has a Weaver scope rail included. A heavy barrel Model 70 in 220 Swift should make this one a hell of a shooter!
