Extremely rare Savage model 1899 in 303 Savage.This rifle has full coverage C or crescent grade engraving.The highly figured stock is hand checkered in the pattern similar to the "Victor" grade.According to the factory letter,this rifle was shipped July 19,1906.The rifle has a 26" octagon barrel with a mint bore.The rifle is in all original condition.It retains 95% of the original blue and wood finish.It has a Lyman peep sight with the original disc.There were only around 1000 factory engrave 1899s built,so this rifle is very rare.This is a piece of American sporting history.C&R eligible.
