Payment Types Accepted: Postal Money Order, Personal Check, Cashiers Check, Bank Money Order Description: This is a excellent example of the Harpers Ferry m1803 Rifle, this example has an excellent and very respectable wood stock and patch box. The finish that covers the barrel appears to be untouched and showing its naturally aged patina. At some time, this Rifle was converted from Flintlock to percussion. Inside the 1819 dated lockplate, there is a name “J Crosby”. I am unsure to who that pertains to but certainly adds to the intrigue of the overall history. The action is loose inside the mechanism because of a screw lacking and maybe another part, I don’t know what the full action should look like inside one of these, the hammer has one cock, the hammer also has side to side wobble likely because of the lack of the screw and other internal part or parts. Overall this would be a beautiful candidate for a reconversion to Flintlock or just to hang on your wall if you like this model. Shipping is $75 fully insured. Masking: $1,950.00 SOLD Antique: Yes |
