The 1873 US Springfield Trapdoor chambered in .45-70 is a true American classic and perfectly capable of taking large sized game. The carbine version with it's 22 inch barrel and saddle loop was used by the US Calvary and designed to handle a large number of shots in a short period of time. This 1873 is in excellent shape with no wear marks and would make a great shooter. .45-70
