Description:
At offer is a Beautiful 12mm Lefaucheux Single Action Pinfire revolver Model 1854 Cavalry 2nd Type. There are two numbers on the frame and I assume the shorter number "1398" which is on the right side under a stamp that looks like "JR" is a military number. The one on the left side of the frame is what I believe is the Lefaucheux serial number "91605". It is in Beautiful condition with a crisp action; and the 6 1/2" barrel maintains an excellent bore. About 90% original case colors remain and an exception amount of original charcoal blue. It is marked "E. Lefaucheux / Invr. Brevete” on left flat with Belgian Proof Marks as well as the Crown over N.There are some scratches on the barrel that look as though the gun may have been dropped at some time. The original finish on the grips is scuffed and a bit dinged.
This is an opportunity to own a beautiful example of one of the greatest of all pinfire revolvers.
