FRENCH MODEL 1777 FLINTLOCK GENDARME PISTOL. 9” o/a with 5” smoothbore .69 cal. barrel. All original and complete with the side plate screws old but replaced. Good condition with all the original lock parts. Barrel with French proof at left breech. Working order and in good condition with old original patina on metal and wood. Used by French police, customs and tax collection officials etc. American Revolutionary War and French Revolutionary Wars period of use.
