BRITISH FAZAKERLEY ENFIELD SMLE NO.4 MK.1 (F) OR NO4 MK1 .303BRIT INFANTRY RIFLE, CIRCA 1949. Serial number "PF844XX" with date matching to stock along with other military acceptance stamps and broad arrows. Broad arrows abound on most metal parts along with original British black enamel paint(correct). Stock never been cleaned or sanded so markings crisp. Comes with spike bayonet & scabbard that I cannot quite get to click fully home but may due to protective cosmoline. Green canvas period sling. Fine adjust rear sight as opposed to flip up peep during the previous War(WW2). All matching except box magazine. Bore is good with crisp rifling. Brass buttplate has 'SAN8440" stamped in large letters/numbers so probably soldier's abbreviated name & number.
