SOLD. Awiting funds, thanks Scott! Browning Safari Sako Action 243. Possibly un fired. Above average wood color and grain. Incredable condition with the metal rating 99.9% and the wood 99% BUT made in 1969. The barrel is 24 inch varmint weight drilled and tapped for a rear sight but not a front sight. I do not see marks from scope mounting. I backed out the rear but screws and no sighn of rust. The butt plate is perfect, no marks, dings or creases. I pulled the action out and found a tiny pit pictured wherre the barrel contour first steps down. The bottom metal is steel not aluminum and I found some minor pitting on the rail (pictured). None of this shows without taking it apart. The stock is numbered to the gun. I have taken pictures of the interior of the stock to show all of the factory chalking and imprint of the serial number. Since then i have sealed the interior of the stock. I have owned Brownings of this period and once I selaed the interior of the stock, sometimes glass bedding them I have not had further problems. If this rifle was not of the salt era I would of doubled the price. You would be buying a Sako arguably made better than the current ones at almost half of the cost. No more pictures, price is firm as well as the shipping costs. $79.00 in a plastic re usable case insured.
